Material shrinkage rate is the percentage difference between the cooled to room temperature and the size of the workpiece size removed from the mold at a molding temperature. It reflects the degree of cooling after the parts removed from the mold size reduction. Factors affecting shrinkage are: variety of materials, molding conditions, mold structure. Shrinkage of different polymer materials vary. Secondly, the material shrinkage also the complexity of the shape of the internal structure of plastic parts, whether there are inserts and so have a great relationship.
